Birth name: Geir Eirik Hansen

He was interested in music at an early age, he got his first guitar and started playing at the age of 14 yo. When he was 16 yo he had allready started his own band, playing Rock music. As time passed by he played in many different bands, mostly rock/pop music. He have written many songs during his musical carieer. The most sucsessfull band he had during the 90`s was called "City of Angels",  with this well known band he recorded a live demo / promotion CD wich was making the band even more known in the area around Narvik and other places in the North part of Norway. After the break up in the mid 90`s, he started the band "Hard To Handle", together with two of the members from his old band, they picked some new musicians and traveled around in north. The band played rock/pop music and Geir became a "Rock star" , not only in his own area but also other places in North Norway were the band played their concerts. 

Geir was interested in many different music styles when he was a young boy, but one day early in 2007, after getting in touch with the country artist B.Thomas who was picking musicians for a new live band, he realized that he really had the skills to also play countrymusic, modern and traditional as well. He allready had played rock and pop music for all his life so far, and since country music today contains much elements from pop and rock he had no problems to change and to go Country. He took the artist name Gary Nash, and became the acoustic guitar player and bacground singer in the B.Thomas live band "Redneck Cowboys".
